Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait rose marginally by the end of Monday’s trading session, as the Premiere and All Share indices rose by 0.003%, while the Main Marker Index added 0.05%.
Traded values decreased to KWD 50.61 million, compared with KWD 52.85 million yesterday, while volumes rose to 184.46 million shares, up from 164.23 million shares on Sunday.
As for the market sectors performance, six indices rose today, led by commercial services with 0.69%.
Wethaq Takaful Insurance was the top rising stock, surging by 16.73%, while Alargan was the top loser as it dropped 10%.
Zain was the most actively traded stock with 23.13 million shares and a turnover of KWD 13.85 million.
On Thursday, the MSCI Index of emerging markets approved Kuwait upgrade, a move that could attract $2.5 billion to the market, according to Kuwait’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, who expects up to $4 billion in foreign investment inflows to the Kuwaiti exchange.
