Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session with a mixed performance, as the All-Share and Premier markets went up 0.09% and 0.17%, respectively, while the Main Market retreated 0.07%.
The mixed performance of Boursa Kuwait’s indices has started since the opening of Monday’s session; this reflected on the trading activity, capital market analyst Ali Al Salamy told Mubasher.
Monday’s session was expected to witness a rise after the leap in oil prices, the analyst added.
The telecom segment topped four gainers with 0.4%, while the technology sector led seven decliners with 3.7%.
KAMCO was the top winner with a rise of 9.26%, while Marakez led the losers with a decline of 10.09%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover grew by 15.2% to KWD 12.95 million on Monday compared to KWD 11.24 million in the previous session after the trading volume shrank by 13.3% to 69.27 million shares from 77.84 million.
AUB Bahrain was the most active stock on which 10.47 million shares were exchanged at a value of KWD 2.19 million. The stock closed at 209 fils.
