Boursa Kuwait’s indices close Thursday mixed

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s session with a mixed performance, as the All-Share and Premier markets rose to 5,039.56 points and 5,228.31 points, respectively, while the Main Market fell to 4,696.96 points.

The oil and gas segment topped four gainers with 0.81%, while the consumer services sector led six decliners with 0.6%.

Al Aqaria headed the winners with a rise of 18.9%, while Al Massaleh Real Estate led the losers with 9.8%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 65.8% to KWD 18.97 million on Thursday compared to KWD 11.44 million in the prior session after the trading volume grew by 40.4% to 73.18 million shares from 52.14 million.

Despite the mixed performance on Tuesday, the increase in liquidity is considered a positive factor, capital market analyst Saad Al Rumi told Mubasher.

As banks continue to disclose their financial statements, the coming period is expected to witness a rise, the analyst added.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest turnover of KWD 6.3 million, the stock went up 0.34%.

The Gulf Bank of Kuwait (GBK) was the most active stock on which 11.5 million shares were traded, the stock rose 1.17%.
