Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session with mixed performance.
The All-Share Market Index and the Premier Market Index grew 0.46% and 0.89%, respectively, while the Main Market Index retreated 0.43%.
The bourse’s turnover decreased by 21.8% to KWD 20.33 million on Monday, compared to KWD 25.99 million in the previous session after the trading volume went down by 31.3% to 71.32 million shares from 103.85 million.
The banking sector topped the bourse’s six gainers adding 0.87%, while the consumer goods sector headed the market’s five losers falling 2%.
National Bank of Kuwait’s (NBK) stock, which rose 1.12%, led Boursa Kuwait in terms of liquidity with KWD 4.8 million, while Zain’s stock, which advanced 0.67%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 6.14 million shares.
