Boursa Kuwait’s indices end Tuesday mixed

Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait ended Tuesday’s trading session with mixed performance.

The price index levelled up by 0.19% or 10.62 points to close at 5,667.75 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated by 0.67% and 1.09% respectively.

The oil and gas sector topped six gainers with 0.78% on the back of Marine Services which rose by 6.85%.

The financial services segment edged up by 0.09%, endorsed by Boubyan which rose by 6.67%; however, IFA was the top loser with a drop of 4.62%.

Meanwhile, the banks sector led five decliners with 1.06%, dragged by AUB which lost 3.3%. The telecom sector retreated by 0.08%, affected by the 2.38% fall of Hits Telecom.

Liquidity shrank to KWD 11.39 million, while trading volume increased to 151.81 million shares.

Al Salam was the most active stock on which 17.65 million shares were traded.

NBK posted the highest trading value that amounted to KWD 1.21 million.
