Boursa Kuwait’s indices end Tuesday mixed

Mubasher: The All-Share and Main markets of Boursa Kuwait inched down by 0.02% and 0.27%, respectively, by the end of Tuesday’s trading session, while the Premier Index edged up by 0.07%.

Meanwhile, the bourse’s turnover slipped by 3.4% to KWD 28.19 million from KWD 29.17 million on Monday, 7 October.

The trading volume slid by 4.9% to 124.36 million shares on Tuesday from 130.77 million. The real estate sector led six decliners with 1.01%, whereas the technology sector advanced five gainers with 1.27%.

Amwal International Investment and the National Industries Group Holding headed the losers with 10%, while Umm Al Qaiwain General Investment Co topped the winners with 9.9%.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) logged the highest turnover of KWD 6.75 million, the stock edged down 0.15%, while Ahli United Bank – Bahrain (AUB Bahrain) led the trading activity through the exchange of 14.69 million shares, the stock closed at 274 fils.

The bourse has shown a mixed performance on Tuesday, following two positive sessions where the stocks, blue chips in particular, recorded attractive prices, head of the research unit at KAMCO Investment, Raed Diab told Mubasher.

Leading stocks are expected to continue their positive financial performance during the third quarter of 2019, Diab remarked.

He further predicted volatility in the bourse’s performance over the coming period ahead of the announcements of the companies’ financial results for Q3-19
