Mubasher: The benchmark index of Boursa Kuwait ended Monday’s trading session in the red zone after falling by 1.5% or 104.13 points to reach 104.13 points. Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated by 1.10% and 1.29% respectively.
Turnover shrank to KWD 66.85 million from KWD 75.46 million on Sunday, and trading volume decreased to 656.07 million shares from 770.32 million.
The real estate segment led 11 decliners with 2.41%, dragged by Hits Telecom which retreated by 6.06%.
Meanwhile, the oil and gas sector was the only gainer with a rise of 0.26%, on the back of Senergy which rose by 4.62%.
Ekttitab was the top loser with a fall of 9.1%, while Al Hilal topped the winners with 8.33%.
Ithmaar Holding was the most active stock on which 39.16 shares were traded, while Zain recorded the highest liquidity that amounted to KWD 8.34 million.
