Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed the third week of February with a mixed performance; the benchmark price index edged down 0.11% or 7.74 points to 6,756.54 points compared to 6,764.28 points in the past week.
The weighted index lost 0.13% or 0.52 points to 410.14 points by the week ended on 22 February.
The main index is currently moving upward backed by the main support at 6,310 points, capital market analyst Hassan Al Kandry told Mubasher.
During this week, liquidity levels decreased and reached resistance levels, the analyst added.
The price index may rebound from the levels 6,530 points and 6,440 points, he added.
Meanwhile, the Kuwait-15 index gained 0.23% or 2.14 points to 948.62 points when compared to the week ended on 15 February.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 11.5% to KWD 53.72 million from KWD 48.18 million.
The trading volume marginally decreased by 0.9% to 309.46 million shares compared to 312.22 million in the prior week.
Transactions declined by 2.1% to about 13,180 compared to around 13,470 in the prior week.
Market cap edged down 0.11% or KWD 30 million ($100.3 million) to KWD 27.8 billion ($92.9 billion) from KWD 27.83 billion ($93 billion) in the previous week.
