Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Wednesday’s trading session with a mixed performance.
By 9:50am Kuwait time, the benchmark price index edged down 0.07% or 4.9 points to 6,700.83 points; meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices went down 0.12% and 0.16%, respectively.
Oil and gas companies topped gainers with 1.4%, backed by PetroGulf and Napesco which added 4.4% and 2.2%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the insurance segment led decliners with 1.92%, dragged by First Takaful which lost 15.72% to be the top loser.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 3.21 million after 10 million shares were exchanged through 625 transactions.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) was the most active stock on which 1.43 million shares were traded at a value of KWD 1.11 million. The stock lost 0.13%.
