Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait ended in a mixed note during the second quarter of 2019, rising in the first six months of the year.
The All-Share Market index of Boursa Kuwait registered an increase of over 214 points, or 3.81%, to 5,832.13 points in Q2-19.
The Premier Market index added 390.15 points, or 6.52%, to 6,377.02 points from April to the end of June.
Meanwhile, the Main Market index lost 150 points, or 3.07%, to 4,766.53 points in the three-month period ended 30 June.
Over the first six months of the year, the three indices went up, as the All-Share Market index surged 14.8%, while the Premier Market index soared 21% and the Main Market index increased by 0.6%.
Boursa Kuwait’s trading volume reached 8.54 billion shares in Q2-19, while liquidity hit KWD 1.98 billion during the same period.
Market capitalisation gained KWD 1.48 billion in Q2-19, recording KWD 33.66 billion. Biannually, market capitalisation levelled up KWD 4.65 billion.
