Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait posted positive performance during the month of January.
The price index rose by 18.86% or 1.084 points to end the month at 6,832.22 points from 5,478.09 points by the end of December.
The weighted index levelled up by 23.37% or 89.47 points to 472.38 points in January from 382.91 points in December.
Kuwait-15 rose by 9.58% to end January at 985.40 points from 899.25 points a month ago.
Market cap increased by 12.15% or KWD 3.19 billion ($10.4 billion) to KWD 29.44 billion ($96.2 billion) from KWD 26.25 billion ($85.8 billion) in December.
Liquidity leaped by 268.68% to KWD 1.18 billion ($3.85 billion), as trading volume increased by 285.59% to 13.85 billion shares that were traded through about 229,840 which came 204.07% higher from deals in December.
