Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait gained 1.27% or 71.9 points to reach 5,748.09 points in the week ended 29 December as compared to 5,676.22 points in the week ended 22 December.
The weighted index rose by 0.94% or 3.54 points, while Kuwait-15 gained 0.29% or 2.53 points during the week.
Over this week, trading value increased by 43.9% to stand at KWD 89.34 million when compared to KWD 62.08 million in the past week.
Trading volume grew by 26.9% to reach 941.43 million shares from 741.73 million a week ago.
Transactions totalled nearly 20,940 which is 23% higher from around 17,030.
Market cap increased by 0.92% or KWD 240 million ($782.12 million) to reach KWD 26.26 billion ($85.58 billion) this week when compared to KWD 26.02 billion ($84.79 billion) a week ago.
