Boursa Kuwait starts Tuesday lower

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait opened Tuesday’s trading session with a massive drop, after the Premier, All-Share, and Main markets inched down 0.24%, 0.19%, and 0.02%, respectively.

By 9:40 am Kuwait time, the bourse saw trading of 20.01 million shares exchanged through 869 transactions at a turnover of KWD 1.91 million.

The banking sector edged down 0.23%, while the oil and gas and consumer services segments increased 0.56%, and up 0.22%, respectively.

Ekttitab Holding’s stock led losers with 8.89%, whereas the stock of Kuwait Financial Centre (Markaz) was the best performer with 10%.

Gulf Petroleum Investment’s (PetroGulf) stock, up 2.06%, led the market in terms of traded volume after 5.8 million shares were exchanged, while National Bank of Kuwait’s (NBK) stock, down 0.72%, generated the highest liquidity with KWD 464,300.
