Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Tuesday’s session on mixed note.
The price index added 0.19%, or 12.56 points, to 6,637.68 points, while the Kuwait-15 index and the weighted index went up 0.21% and 0.17%, respectively.
By 9:45 am Kuwait time, Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 3.4 million after 34.6 million shares were traded through 1,200 transactions.
The oil and gas sector topped the three gainers with 1.7%, backed by Gulf Petroleum Investment and Napesco, which rose by 9.6% and 1.88%, respectively.
The real estate sector levelled up 0.74% as Tijara and Real Estate Investment gained 8%.
Meanwhile, the telecommunications sector topped the market’s six losers with 0.76% after Ooredoo dropped 2.75%.
The Gulf Petroleum Investment’s stock topped the bourse in terms of trading volume with 7.4 million shares, while National Bank of Kuwait’s stock, which declined 0.76%, led the market in terms of liquidity with KWD 897,200.
