Boursa Kuwait starts Wednesday in red as telecoms, real estate fall

Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait’s indices started Wednesday session in red, as the All-Share Market shed 0.12%, while the Main Market and Premier indices fell by 0.02% and 0.16%, respectively.

Indices of five sectors have seen declines at the beginning of the session, led by the telecoms stocks which fell by 0.37%, as their real estate counterparts edged down by 0.23%.

At the other end of the spectrum, three sectors recorded a gain, with the basic material shares rising by 0.19%.

Stocks of Kuwait Syrian Holding posted the largest gains, after surging by 9.82%, whereas National Industries Group Holding shares saw a 20.63% drop, the sharpest in the session.

The bourse saw 28.91 million shares traded through 1,225 deals, with a turnover KWD 6.9 million.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH), whose shares fell by 0.13%, led the bourse in value at KWD 2.11 million, while Ahli United Bank (AUB) was the most active stock through the exchange of 3.96 million shares, as its stock stabilised at 297 fils.
