Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait suspended trading on Kuwait Finance House (KFH), Ahli United Bank (AUB), and AUB Kuwait until the banks comment on a recent published news, according to a bourse filing.
Several news stories were published on the possibility of a merger between KFH and AUB, which is listed on both Boursa Kuwait and Bahrain Bourse (BHB), but officials from both banks denied the merger news, while other statements confirmed it.
Late July, Moody's Investors Service said that KFH will benefit from the merger between the two banks; this merger will create the sixth largest bank in the GCC region.
