Mubasher: A family business company operating in the industrial sector has submitted a request to be listed on Boursa Kuwait with an initial market capitalisation of about KWD 100 million, sources revealed to Al-Qabas newspaper.
The industrial sector's current listed-companies are 30 firms with a market capitalisation of KWD 3.2 billion at the end of 2017, accounting for 11.8% of total market capitalisation, sources highlighted.
The industrial sector is one of the remarkable and stable operational sectors as it was not highly affected by the economic crises, compared to other sectors.
The Capital Markets Authority has received several listing requests, including requests from firms’ to be listed on Boursa Kuwait or listed-firms to be listed on regional stock markets, but requests from the aforementioned family business company and Shamal Azzour Al Oula are likely to be implemented.
Boursa Kuwait has seen drastic changes on many levels, whether in terms of the developed trading system, in addition to the three stock markets plan which is anticipated to be achieved soon.
