Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday’s trading session higher; the price index went up 0.44% or 27.7 points to reach 6,267.05 points.
By 9:54am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.84% and 0.94%, respectively.
The telecom segment topped gainers with 1.02%, backed by Ooredoo and Zain which rose 2.7% and 1.13%, respectively.
The banks sector edged up 0.87% in line with the 2.04% rise of Ithmaar, followed by Kuwait Finance House (KFH) which gained 2.03%.
Kuwait Real Estate Trading (Al Aqariya) was the top winner with a growth of 20%, while Remal led losers with an 11.23% decline.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 5.8 million after 31.2 million shares were traded through 1,060 transactions.
KFH posted the highest turnover of KWD 1.42 million, while Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 8.07 million shares were traded, falling 1.82%.
