Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE and Brazil have signed a visa-exemption agreement whereby Emirati citizens will be allowed visa-free entry to the Latin America country as of Sunday, 3 June.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that UAE passports’ holders will be also exempted from pre-entry visa to Barbados for a 90-day period per visit.
Accordingly, the UAE nationals are exempted from visa by 151 countries as the UAE passport has become more powerful globally.
This visa-waiver comes on the sidelines of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the UAE and Barbados yesterday in the US.

The MoU was signed by the UAE ambassador to the US Yousef Al Otaiba and Barbados ambassador to Washington Selwin Charles Hart, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).
"Holders of all types of UAE passports may travel, effective June 2, to Brazil without prior visa arrangements and stay for a maximum of 90 days each year," said Ambassador Ahmed Elham Al Dhaheri, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC).
"The Brazilian government's initiative reaffirms the prestigious international stature boasted by the UAE and opens up new prospects for tourist, travel and investment exchanges between the two countries," he added.
