British firms discuss privatising Saudi airports - Minister

Riyadh – Mubasher: Britain plans to cooperate with Saudi Arabia in privatising the second’s airports, British transport minister Chris Grayling has said.

The European nation also seeks to discover available investment opportunities in smart public transport and transportation technology in the GCC country in line with Saudi Vision 2030, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Grayling.

The Saudi transport sector is seeing an ongoing growth, as well as includes mega investments, the British official noted.

By the end of February 2018, British investments in the oil-rich nation amounted to around $12.5 billion through 374 projects stretching from services sector to industrial, property, scientific, art temporary licencing ones.

British industry projects in Saudi Arabia hit 57 with SAR 7.9 billion in financing, followed by 19 temporary licencing projects with SAR 7 million, and five trade projects with SAR 852.2 million.
