British firms mull digital health investments in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh – Mubasher: Around five British companies specialised in the digital healthcare sector are discussing means of cooperation with the Saudi authorities to provide their services to hospitals, clinics, and medical cities in the kingdom, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

The firms are Poximie, Elsevier, Ideal, T.p.p, Biotronics, according to British ambassador to Saudi Arabia Simon Collis.

Investments in the GCC nation will be available for the British healthcare companies meeting the Saudi market’s demands, Collis added.

Pumping liquidity in the healthcare sector by privatisation and other channels are part of Saudi Vision 2030 that aims to diversify revenues and reduce dependence on oil income.

The UK diplomat expected trade exchange between the two countries will increase by the end of this year.

In 2017, trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and the European country amounted to GPB 9 billion.
