Mubasher: Qatari Brokerage companies’ trading value amounted to QAR 93.5 billion after 2.75 million shares were exchanged through 1.06 million transactions during the first half of 2018.
Qatar National Bank Financial Services Company (QNBFS Trade) ranked the second in terms of trading value with QAR 17.6 billion, and topped its peers in terms of trading volume with 911.5 million shares through 401,600 transactions.
Meanwhile, the Commercial Bank Financial Services (CB Invest) came in the third place with a total trading value of QAR 17.3 billion after 281 million shares changed hands through 165,300 transactions.
It is worth noting that the total trading value of the ten licensed brokerage companies from the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) went down 1.8% to QAR 144 billion for the full-year 2017, compared to QAR 141.5 billion in the year before.
The QSE's ten licensed firms include NBFS Trade, The Group, Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding (DBIS), CB Invest, Qatar Securities Company and Ahli Brokerage Company.
