Riyadh – Mubasher: US agricultural trader Bunge is aspiring to join in a bid for the Saudi Grain Organisation’s (SAGO) milling operations to show interest in the privatisation of the Kingdom's sole wheat and barley buyer, Reuters sources said.
The agency stated that Bunge signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Arabian Agricultural Services Company (ARASCO), a privately-owned Saudi firm.
In March, Reuters reported that a partnership of US Archer Daniels Midland Co and Saudi foods group Almarai had showed interest in bidding for SAGO's milling operations.
