CAPMAS: Egypt GDP rises to EGP 647.4bn in Q3-15/16

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased to EGP 647.4 billion during the third quarter of  2015/16, according a report issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The GDP thus registered a decline as compared to EGP 694.4 million for the second quarter of 2015/16. On an annual basis, it moved up from EGP 454.8 for the third quarter of 2014/15.

The value of import annually rose to EGP billion for Q3-15/16 when compared with EGP 138.9 million for the year-ago period.

The value of export went down to EGP 61.2 billion in Q3-15/16 from EGP 76 billion for the prior-year quarter.
