Cairo - Mubasher: The Centeral Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Monday that the consumer price index (CPI) increased in September by 13.93% year-on-year, compared to 13.25% in August.
The monthly core CPI rose by 1.39% in September compared to 0.61% in August, the CBE added in its official data release.
Meanwhile, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said that the CPI declined on annual basis in September to 15.47% from 15.47%, while the monthly inflation rate increased by 1.25% in September compared to a 1.93% monthly increase in August.
