Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 2.75 billion through three tranches on Monday, 7 March.
The first issue stood at EGP 750 million, holding a tenor of two years until 11 January 2024, according to official data.
The second offering was valued at EGP 1.50 billion and will mature in five years on 11 January 2027.
The third tranche totalled EGP 500 million, carrying a maturity period of 10 years until 11 January 2032.
The CBE has also auctioned zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 12.50 billion through one issue on Monday.
The offering holds a 1.5-year maturity period until 29 August 2023.
On 28 February, the CBE offered T-bonds of EGP 2.75 billion over two issues as well as zer-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 11.50 billion through one auction.
