Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has denied issuing a note worth EGP 500.
The picture of the claimed note posted on media is false, the CBE said on Monday.
The Egyptian central bank has no intention to issue such note, the bank added, noting that currencies in circulation are still the same and will not see any new changes.
The CBE pointed out that the issuance of new notes is subject to complex economic terms and strict international standards.
