Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decided to extend its two initiatives to support tourism for a year ending in December 2021.
The first initiative enables tourism facilities to ask for postponing loan repayments for a maximum period of three years, while the second initiative allows tourism workers to delay the repayment of retail consumer or personal mortgage loans for a period of six months, according to a statement on Monday.
Employees working in the tourism sector who have previously benefited from the retail loan postponement initiative launched on 7 December 2015 can still apply to the same initiative.
