Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt’s central bank said it will issue on Sunday treasury bills worth EGP7. 5 billion on behalf of the Ministry of Finance to fund the country’s budget deficit.
The T-bills will be offered through two auctions: a 91-day auction at a value of EGP3 billion and a 266-day auction at a value of EGP4.5 billion.
The country’s budget deficit during the period from July to November widened to EGP138.5 billion or 4.9% of GDP, compared to EGP107.9 billion or 4.4% in the same period a year earlier.
