Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) maintained the Egyptian pound's (EGP) value at EGP 7.78 per share in a regular FX auction held on Tuesdays.
"The central bank left the EGP value unchanged against USD dollar after issuing $120 million for sale", two treasury officials told Mubasher.
In the black market, the exchange rate steadied at1EGP 5.20 – 30 per US dollar amid speculation on soon devaluation.
