CBE keeps Egyptian pound steady against U.S. dollar

Cairo-Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has kept the local currency unchanged against the U.S. dollar in a foreign currency auction on Tuesday.

The bank sold $39.1 million at EGP 7.73 each, while it offered $40 million.

On 1 December, the CBE said it had repaid the $547.2 million dues of foreign investors.
