Cairo – Mubasher: The proceeds of the one-year dollar-denominated treasury bills (T-bills) issued last Monday, 19 November, amounted to $1.7 billion, data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) showed.
The average yield of the 364-day T-bills stood at 3.69%, according to the CBE’s official website.
The Ministry of Finance had issued 364-day T-bills worth $1.67 billion.
Egyptian finance minister Mohamed Maait previously said that Egypt was weighing up expansion in the Asian debt markets in the coming period.
