Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt sold on Monday treasury bonds at the value of EGP5 billion through two auctions, the Ministry of Finance said.
The proceedings of the first auction, which was covered 1.4 times, hit EGP3.25 billion with an average yield of 13.655%, maximum yield of 13.680% and yield-to-worst of 13.600%.
The second auction, which was covered 2.3 times, reached EGP1.75 billion at an average yield of 15.788%, maximum and minimum yields of 15.830% and 15.550% respectively.
Earlier, the ministry stated that budget deficit edged up 4.9% to EGP107.9 billion of GDP for the period extended from July to November, 2015.
