CBE sells $118.6m at regular FX auction

Cairo-Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) sold $118.6 million to banks in the regular foreign exchange auction, according to a recent statement.

The US dollar price settled at EGP 8.78 in the $120 million FX auction.

In the second half of March, Egypt’s central bank reduced foreign currency auctions to a single regular auction on Tuesdays, instead of three times per week.
