Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) stated on Sunday that the returns on 91-day and 273-day bills have reached EGP 17.5 billion.
The average return on 91-day treasury bills registered 17.98% and was oversubscribed by 2.5 times, with a total turnover of EGP 8.3 billion.
Meanwhile, the average return on 273-day treasury bills hit 17.01% and was oversubscribed by 1.6 times, with a total turnover of EGP 9.2 billion, the CBE’s data showed.
Egyptian debt instruments, particularly T-bills, are attractive to many foreign investors on the back of the rising yields on the bonds.
