Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) revealed it has paid $406 million for the African Export–Import Bank (Afreximbank) at the end of May 2019.
On 22 May, Afreximbank announced its abridged unaudited financial performance for the three months ending 31 March 2019, showing a 59% increase in total revenues to $240.71 million compared to the $151.17 achieved during the same period in 2018.
It is noteworthy that Afreximbank is a Pan-African Multilateral Financial institution that is headquartered in Cairo, and has branches in Abidjan, Abuja, and Harare.
