Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will issue, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, treasury bonds on Monday to support the country's state budget deficit.
The trueasury bonds will be issued through two tranches, three-year bonds at EGP 1.5 billion and seven-year bonds at EGP 500 million.
The CBE decided to hold the auction on Monday since Sunday is a public holiday as it marks the first day of the new Islamic year.
The Egyptian finance ministry says the total budget deficit for the fiscal year 2015/16 is around EGP 319.46 billion.
