Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) would auction EGP 7.5 billion treasury bills in coordination with the Ministry of Finance to fund budget deficit.
The stated amount will be issued in two tranches: 182-day bonds worth EGP 4.5 billion and 357-day bonds worth EGP 3 billion.
Budget deficit is estimated to reach EGP 319.46 billion in the fiscal year 2016/17, the ministry earlier announced.
