Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) would issue Monday treasury bonds worth EGP 850 million on behalf of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to fund budget deficit, according to the bank’s website.
The issuance will be carried out through two tranches: three-year and seven-year bonds at EGP 500 million and EGP 350 million.
Earlier, the ministry estimated the country’s budget deficit to reach EGP 319.46 billion in the fiscal year 2016/17.
