Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said it would issue treasury bills and bonds worth of EGP 12.25 billion on Thursday, on behalf of the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
The issuance will be used to finance the country’s budget deficit.
The CBE noted that the first offering will be EGP 6 billion for 91 days, while the second offering will be EGP 5.5 billion for 266 days.
The ministry will also auction five – year treasury bonds worth EGP 750 million.
