CBE to sell $120m at FX auction today amid devaluation talks

Cairo-Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) would sell $120 million to banks in a regular foreign exchange auction held every Tuesday, according to a recent statement.

Today's auction might witness a long-waited floatation or devaluation of the Egyptian pound (EGP).

In the last auction, the bank sold $117.9 million, leaving the pound's value unchanged at 8.78 per dollar.
