CBK launches education programme with Harvard Business School

Mubasher: Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and chairman of the Institute of Banking Studies (IBS) Mohammad Yousef Al-Hashel has announced that the institution will cooperate with Harvard Business School for the tenth year.

The cooperation will be conducted through an executive education programme for banking and finance executives in the GCC region held from 26 to 31 January 2019, according to a statement released by the CBK on Saturday.

The programme aims to upgrade the skills of the Kuwaiti and GCC national workforce, Al-Hashel stated.

“After the tremendous success of that first programme and with the Harvard Business School showing interest in taking the program to the GCC level, the programme continued to be run on an annual basis since then, alternately in one of the GCC states,” the top official remarked.

In this year, the programme was conducted in Dubai – UAE and is planned to be held in Kuwait next year.

Titled Leading Strategy Execution in Financial Services”, 2019 programme comprises two integrated themes: 'Strategic Management' and 'Leadership'.
