Kuwait – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait's (CBK) bonds issue on Wednesday worth KWD 100 million was five times oversubscribed.
The three-year issue has a return rate of 2.5% due on 27 May 2020, data released by the central bank showed.
The CBK’s total issued bonds and securities since the start of 2017 has reached KWD 1.55 billion, divided across 16 issuances at an average of 96.88 million per issue, official data showed.
Kuwait began issuing bonds as a means to finance its budget deficit after oil prices more than halved in June 2014.
