Doha – Mubasher: Commercial Bank of Qatar’s (CBQ) board of directors announced the appointment of Joseph Abraham as the bank’s new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Abdulla Saleh Al Raisi, who has been promoted to advisor to the board.
Abraham earlier served as a CEO for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Banking Group Indonesia, based in Jakarta in 2008, according to a bourse filing.
The stock rose in the first hour of today’s trading by 0.41% to QAR 37.15 as 12,860 shares were exchanged at QAR 476,600.
