CBQ’s shareholders approve capital increase

Doha – Mubasher: The Commercial Bank of Qatar’s (CBQ) ordinary general meeting approved raising the capital to QAR 3.86 billion from QAR 3.27 billion.

The capital increase will be through issuing 58.82 million additional shares for subscription, as one share per each 5.5 owned shares, according to a bourse statement issued on Thursday.

Shareholders also agreed “to authorise the Board with full authority to complete the necessary procedures to implement the capital increase and allotment of shares and attend to any other matters resulting therefrom.”

The issue price for the rights will be QAR 25.50 per share, with a nominal value of QAR 10 per share and a share premium of QAR 15.50.
