CI Capital Q1 profit rises 36%

Cairo – Mubasher: CI Capital Holding on Tuesday reported a 36% year-on-year surge in consolidated profits for the first quarter of 2018 due to a growth in revenues.

Net profit climbed to EGP 92.18 million during the three-month period ended March 2018, from EGP 67.6 million in the prior-year period, including minority shareholders’ rights, the company said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Revenues grew to EGP 522.9 million in Q1-18, versus EGP 379.9 million in Q1-17.

Meanwhile, standalone profits declined to EGP 12.8 million in Q1-18, against EGP 39.1 million in the year-ago period.

CI Capital had previously posted a 49% year-on-year hike in profits for the full-year 2017, reaching EGP 251 million.
