CI Capital profit soars 140% in 9M

Cairo – Mubasher: CI Capital Holding on Thursday reported a 140% year-on-year hike in consolidated profit for the first nine months of 2018 on the back of higher revenues.

Net profit amounted to EGP 340.06 million in the nine-month period ended September, versus EGP 144.4 million in the year-ago period, including minority shareholders’ rights, the company said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Revenues grew to EGP 1.7 billion at the end of September from EGP 1.15 billion in the corresponding nine-month period of 2017.

At the level of standalone business, profits retreated to EGP 35.2 million in the January-September period from EGP 86.4 million in the same period last year.

CI Capital Holding previously said its consolidated profits for the first half of 2018 jumped by 87.9% year-on-year to EGP 182.95 million, compared to EGP 97.32 million.

Revenues climbed to EGP 1.07 billion at the end of June, compared to EGP 735 million in H1-17.
