CI Capital’s profit rises 41% in Q1

Cairo – Mubasher: CI Capital Holding has reported a 41.3% year-on-year surge in consolidated profits for the first quarter of 2019.

Net profit amounted to EGP 130.27 million in the three-month period ended 20 March 2019, versus EGP 92.18 million in the year-ago period, CI Capital said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Wednesday.

Revenues increased to EGP 694.88 million at the end of March from EGP 522.99 million in Q1-18, the Cairo-based diversified financial services group added.

As for the standalone business, the company has recorded a profit of EGP 70.34 million in Q1-19, versus EGP 12.84 million in the prior-year period.

It is worth noting that CI Capital had logged EGP 487.25 million in consolidated profits in 2018, versus EGP 274.19 million a year ago.
