Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian indices opened Wednesday’s trading session at a rise, backed by Egyptian and foreign investors’ purchases.
By 10:38 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index gained 1.25% or 169.41 points to 13,694.89 points.
The Commercial International Bank – Egypt’s (CIB) stock added 0.61% to reach EGP 76, following a turnover of EGP 3.5 million.
Meanwhile, the EGX70 index grew 0.73% to 811.13 points, while the EGX100 and the EGX50 indices added 0.83% and 2.47% to 1,793.76 points and 2,433.69 points, respectively.
HADISOLB’s stock led risers, surging 14.49% followed by Emaar Misr and Kima with 7.78% and 5.82%, respectively.
On the other hand, blue-chip Telecom Egypt was among the losers, shedding 0.99%.
Turnover on the benchmark index amounted to EGP 345.3 million after 102.8 million shares were exchanged through 8,110 transactions.
