CIB boosts EGX30 above 13,700 pts early Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Sunday’s trading session on a mixed note amid local and Arab buying.

By 10:40 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.16% or 20.89 points to the level of 13,734.52 points.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) grew 0.82% to EGP 76.85.

The EGX70 index slipped 0.24% to 781.04 points, while the EGX100 index inched up 0.02% to 1,744.85 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index shed 0.48% to 2,438 points.

Trading volume reached 54.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 148.8 million through 6,000 transactions.

Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 430,600 and EGP 1.3 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 1.7 million.
